‘Soft Copy’ explores the intertwining of digital imaging technologies with the human subject.
Merging the image of the artist’s body with day to day recordings of her experienced surroundings, Berndt’s inquiry into the digital image space and editing technology questions how the human body might be communicated by the image. Berndt’s two-channel video considers the digital image as an experimental space for exploring perceived and imagined occurrences. ‘Soft Copy’ is part of Berndt’s ongoing investigation into digital media and the possibilities of interlinking the representational image of the body with lived experiences.
Corinna Berndt is a Melbourne based visual artist working mostly in digital media.
