Beyond a Space considers the relationship between viewer, art and artist and explores how an intervention or interruption of space can effect perception and the viewer’s experience. Notions of spatial perception are challenged through the use of reflection and surface treatment, with the space activated through light, paint and hard-edge geometric abstraction.

The mobility and placement of Jardine’s installations not only respond to the architecture of the space, they also lend themselves to the movement of the gallery audience.

Jardine is a local artist, curator and PhD candidate interested in movement, embodiment, space and abstraction.
